Koenigsegg has unveiled its all-new megacar, the Koenigsegg Jesko—limited to just 125 units—at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show. The Jesko succeeds the Agera RS, taking its place as a leading track-focused, road-legal car designed for ultimate performance.
The Jesko features a re-engineered 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, producing 1,280 hp on standard gasoline and up to 1,600 hp on E85 biofuel. It is equipped with Koenigsegg’s revolutionary 9-speed Light Speed Transmission (LST), advanced aerodynamics generating over 1,000 kg of downforce, and active rear-wheel steering. The redesigned carbon fiber chassis offers increased legroom, headroom, and improved visibility.
The model is named after Jesko von Koenigsegg, father of the company’s founder and CEO, Christian von Koenigsegg.
With up to 1,600 horsepower, a projected top speed of 300 mph, and its innovative nine-speed, seven-clutch transmission, the Jesko pushes beyond traditional hypercar boundaries into the realm of the “megacar.”
