The Koenigsegg Jesko was first unveiled at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show. It succeeds the Agera RS, taking its place as a leading track-focused, road-legal vehicle for those seeking ultimate performance.
The Jesko is powered by a re-engineered 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, producing 1,280 hp on standard gasoline and up to 1,600 hp on E85 biofuel. It features Koenigsegg’s revolutionary 9-speed Light Speed Transmission (LST), advanced aerodynamics generating over 1,000 kg of downforce, active rear-wheel steering, and a redesigned carbon fiber chassis that offers enhanced legroom, headroom, and visibility.
A New Era of Performance
Koenigsegg has a long-standing tradition of pushing engineering boundaries. This legacy continues with the Jesko’s newly developed twin-turbocharged V8 engine, featuring the world’s lightest V8 crankshaft at just 12.5 kg. Designed from a single solid steel billet, the flat-plane crankshaft allows higher rev limits up to 8,500 rpm, improved efficiency, and enhanced power delivery.
Complementing the engine is the groundbreaking Light Speed Transmission (LST), a 9-speed multi-clutch system capable of near-instantaneous gear changes. Paired with Koenigsegg’s Ultimate Power On Demand (UPOD) technology, the system selects the optimal gear instantly, ensuring maximum acceleration at all times—regardless of the current gear.
Engineering Excellence
The Jesko is built on a newly developed carbon fiber monocoque chassis, offering exceptional torsional rigidity of 65,000 Nm per degree while increasing cabin space and comfort. Advanced suspension systems, including Koenigsegg’s Triplex technology at both front and rear, enhance stability under extreme aerodynamic loads.
Active rear-wheel steering further improves agility at low speeds and stability at high speeds, delivering precise handling and driver confidence in all conditions.
Design and Aerodynamics
The design of the Jesko reflects Koenigsegg’s signature philosophy—balancing performance with elegance. Inspired by its predecessor, the Agera, the Jesko introduces sharper lines, improved airflow, and a more aggressive stance.
Its advanced aerodynamic package includes a redesigned rear wing, front splitter, and rear diffuser, working together to maximize downforce while minimizing drag. The iconic wrap-around windscreen enhances both visibility and aerodynamic efficiency.
Interior and Innovation
Despite its track-focused nature, the Jesko offers a refined and luxurious interior. Premium materials such as leather, Alcantara, carbon fiber, and aluminum are used throughout the cabin.
The car features Koenigsegg’s SmartCenter and SmartWheel technologies, integrating touchscreen controls directly into the steering wheel for intuitive operation. Additional innovations include Autoskin, an automated system for opening doors and hoods, and a compact, race-inspired SmartCluster display that rotates with the steering wheel.
